Mr. Chris Miller ’83

Chris Miller is a Strake Jesuit alumnus, class of 1983, has worked with Citi’s Global Energy Group since May 2006, and has been an energy investment banker for over 30 years. He is a Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Citi Energy Investment Banking, having previously served as Head of US Energy Investment Banking as well as other roles.  He has worked with several different companies on a multitude of capital markets and financial advisory transactions.
 
Since 1993, Chris has advised on over 100 financial advisory transactions representing more than $100 billion in aggregate deal volume, and over 200 capital markets transactions raising over $125 billion in aggregate. He is focused on North American Energy, including oil and gas as well as clean energy companies. Before graduate school, Chris was a banking officer at First Interstate Bank in Houston, Texas.
 
Chris earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and a Master’s in Business Administration with honors from the University of Chicago.  Chris also serves on the Advisory Committee of the Spindletop Energy Investment Fund at Southern Methodist University.
 
Chris and his wife Kimberly have one son, Christopher ’24, and two daughters, Madison and Annelise.
