Strake Jesuit Educational Television
SJET’s production studio is equipped for special effects and computer editing of footage and graphics. SJET is a student organization that provides services to the entire school community. Camera and film crews record, report on, and live stream athletic events; shoot stories and segments for the SJ Advisory show; help students produce and edit projects for other classes; or even record school plays, concerts, and other major functions.
Any student may enter SJET by way of enrolling SJET-related classes or trying out to be an anchor. Most of our activities are before school, during community time and after school. Each member is trained on technical levels from a simple knowledge of the studio to being a full director. The most important requirement is a genuine interest in television production. Students must be willing to dedicate time and energy to help SJET work! When it is functioning smoothly, SJET is one of the most exciting, fast-paced and professional-style environments Strake Jesuit has to offer. SJET has been in operation since 1970 and is truly an opportunity that sets SJ apart.
