Please join current and alumni moms for the Strake Jesuit Mothers Club 2024 Fall Retreat:
Finding Power in Your Spiritual Gifts
“Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire” - St. Catherine of Siena
Strake Jesuit Alumni mom, Barbara J. Elliott, will lead us in an interactive journey to discover our spiritual gifts and how we can use them for God’s kingdom. She will also advise us on how to identify and encourage these gifts with our sons. She has led seminars on spiritual gift discernment for parishes and universities throughout the country.
For fourteen years, Barbara has been Scholar-in-Residence and Assistant Professor in the Honors College of Houston Christian University and is a Fellow of the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology. She is the author of five books, including Street Saints: Renewing America’s Cities, and is Senior Contributor to The Imaginative Conservative, the online journal of ideas. She and her family are parishioners at The Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham.
Fr. Jeff Johnson, S.J., will offer confessions and officiate mass. Alumni mom, Danica Johnston, will provide an optional sunrise yoga.

Cost: $150 single occupancy / $125 double occupancy
Registration closes on October 1, 2024 12pm

The Strake Jesuit Retreat and Leadership Center (RLC) is located less than 2 hours from campus just West of I-45 near Leona, Texas. Casual dress with comfortable clothing is appropriate including comfortable walking shoes. Accommodations include cabins and meals; however, please bring either a sleeping bag and pillow or your twin-sized bed linens including a blanket and pillow, AND towels and toiletries. Insect repellant and a flashlight are encouraged. Please also remember to bring any medications with you.
Transportation is not included and carpooling is encouraged.
