The 2008 Debate Team Reunites!
During the Strake Jesuit Debate Team’s banquet, distinguished alumni were invited back to welcome our seniors into the impressive pool of debate alumni and offer advice on educational and career pursuits. This year, Todd Liipfert ’08, David Donatti ’08, and Philip Bartholomew ’08 were invited back. This group of gentlemen won both Nationals (Todd) and State (David) in 2008. Additionally, David placed 4th, and Philip was 9th at Nationals.
Todd Liipfert ’08 has recently gotten married and is finishing up an MBA at Yale. He plans to continue his career in commercial real estate when he graduates in 2025. David Donatti ’08 graduated from Harvard Law in 2015 and currently teaches at Rice while working for the ACLU. Philip Bartholomew ’08 graduated from UT in 2013 and now works in software sales here in Houston.
