Dr. William “Brian” Hatten ’97 Appointed to the Hawaii State Medical Board

Dr. William “Brian” Hatten ’97, has recently been appointed Medical Director of Medical Ethics for his medical group, where he also co-chairs the interregional medical ethics committee at the multi-state healthcare organization where he works. A practicing physician on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii, Dr. Hatten’s deep commitment to ethics in healthcare is rooted in the strong moral foundation he developed at Strake Jesuit. This inspiration led him to further his studies, earning a Master of Health Care Ethics from Creighton University in 2015. In August 2024, he was appointed to the Hawaii State Medical Board, which regulates medical practices and ensures that the people of Hawaii have access to quality healthcare.
