Cam Brown ’27 Receives Houghton Award

On January 14, 2025, Cam Brown ’27 received the Captain Andrew R. Houghton ’97 Award. The Houghton Award was created in 2010 in memory of Capt. Houghton, who passed away on August 9, 2004, from injuries sustained on July 10, 2004, while serving in Iraq. It is presented to a Strake Jesuit sophomore who best exhibits the characteristics and values that Andy Houghton exemplified: academic excellence, service to friends and the community at Strake Jesuit and beyond, an enthusiasm for life, and a determination to succeed. Previous award recipients Justin Varkey ’20 and Logan Lorenz ’25 were also at the event.
