Rugby Opens the season with a district win for Varsity Green

Varsity Green Rugby defeated the visiting Panthers of St. Pius X 14-7 on a historic night at Novelli Field.  The match was the first night game on the newly lit pitch.  The Crusaders were led on attack by Christian Bennett (1 Try and 2 conversions for 9 points) and Greg Higgins (one try).  Defensively Alessandro Director, Ryan Lade, Nick Hernandez, and Daniel Walls all recorded several stops and takeaways.
