Tonight, on the ice, Strake Jesuit Hockey played their first game of the season facing Pearland / Friendswood. The Crusaders showcased their offensive firepower and defensive resilience. Thomas Pawulski ‘25 (#7) starting the scoring early and found the net again later in the game. Jonathan Mathews ‘26 (#44) also had a standout performance, netting two goals and adding 2 assists, while Nick Yu ‘28 (#20) and Luke Depue ‘27 (#26) each contributed a goal to round out the team's six-goal effort.
Nikolai Saratovtsev ‘27 was strong in goal, anchoring the defense with key saves throughout the game. Despite two goals from Pearland Friendswood, Saratovtsev's composure and focus helped ensure that Strake Jesuit maintained control. With a balanced offensive attack and solid goaltending, Strake Jesuit secured a well-earned 6-2 win.
Jesuit Hockey is back in action next Sunday evening at Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center facing Seven Lakes Hockey. The puck drops at 5:00PM and admission is always free.
