Fr. Brian Reedy, S.J., Promoted to Lieutenant Commander

In a ceremony held in Los Angeles, Fr. Brian Reedy, S.J., a former faculty member of Strake Jesuit from 2006 to 2009, was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander as a Navy Chaplain. 

The ceremony took place on Sunday morning, where Fr. Jeff Johnson, S.J., put on Fr. Brian's new rank insignia. This was then followed by Fr. Brian Reedy attending mass where he took his final vows.

He is currently a professor in Loyola Marymount University in the Philosophy department where he continues to work with students. He also serves in the Navy reserves and, in the past year, completed a year-long deployment in Africa.
